This Privacy Policy explains how SomexAI Applications Group, LLC (“SomexAI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with Collective Rates (the “Service”), a platform that helps neighbors in the same subdivision join together to negotiate lower prices on recurring home services and lets vendors submit offers to serve those neighborhoods.

By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide as a resident

• Contact & identity: your name and email address.
• Service address: your street address, subdivision name, city, state, and ZIP code.
• Current service details: your current trash provider, monthly price, pickup frequency, and any notes you add.
• Pledges and votes: your interest level (Interested, Maybe, Not interested) and any votes you cast to accept or reject a company offer.

Information you provide as a vendor

• Company name, contact email and phone, website, service area, and description.
• Offer details you submit (pricing, contract length, included services, terms, and expiration).

Account & technical information

• Authentication: when you sign in, we process your email address to send a secure magic link and maintain your session.
• Usage & device data: standard log information such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, collected by our hosting and infrastructure providers.
• Cookies: we use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and operate the Service. See “Cookies” below.

2. How we use information

• To create and operate neighborhood campaigns and your account.
• To calculate anonymized, aggregate statistics (such as total homes submitted, number interested, average current price, participation percentage, and estimated savings).
• To determine when a campaign qualifies for waste-company offers.
• To facilitate offers from vendors and your votes on them.
• To communicate with you about your campaign, verification, offers, and the Service.
• To maintain security, prevent fraud or abuse, and comply with law.

3. How we share information

Protecting residents' personal information is central to how the Service works. Specifically:

• The public sees only anonymized aggregates. Resident names, email addresses, and exact street addresses are never displayed publicly.
• Waste companies see only anonymized, qualified-campaign statistics — for example, the subdivision name, city/state, number of interested homes, average current price, and pickup frequency. They do not see your name, email, or exact address through the Service.
• Your identity is shared with a vendor only with your action — i.e., if and when you accept an offer and choose to move forward toward a service agreement, the information needed to provide service may be shared with that company.
• Service providers (processors): we use third parties to run the Service, including Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting). They process data on our behalf under their respective terms.
• Legal & safety: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SomexAI, our users, or others.
• Business transfers: information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to ask us to restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights, or ask us to remove your submission from a campaign, by emailing support@somexai.com. You may also unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in those messages.

5. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to operate the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. When a campaign closes or you ask us to delete your data, we remove or de-identify it within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

6. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including database row-level security that restricts access to private fields. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to authenticate you and keep your session active. We do not use the Service to serve third-party advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling necessary cookies may prevent you from signing in.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults (18 and older) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
